The Lightwater Society

Set up in 2021, The Lightwater Society is a voluntary, non-for-profit organisation set up and run by residents of Lightwater Village. It seeks to improve the village for the benefits of all, and membership is open to residents and businesses.


Its activities gravitate around 4 pillars:

  1. Village improvements

  2. Working with other organisations (charities, voluntary groups and local government)

  3. Events (music festivals, Fayre in the Square, fete etc)

  4. Special projects


In 2023 the Lightwater Business Association joined the Lightwater Society. The LBA brought a 5th pillar to the Society and a cash injection of £3,258.29 from the LBA accounts. A business pillar completes the makeup of the Society.
